For the Green Ginger production "Tortoise Walker". Gerty the robotic tortoise was an early stage prototype for a fully autonomous robotic giant tortoise. With the aim of exploring cities, looking for quiet, calm areas away from the hustle and bustle.

Background

Gerty has 23 Degrees of freedom, with 7 responsible for the head and neck. Running a complex kinematic engine that calculates all the joint angles required to create the fluid natural motion.
